Liskeard weather rhyme
The South wind always brings fine weather
The North wind wet and cold together
The West wind always brings the rain
The East wind blows it back again.
If the sun in red should set,
The next day surely will be wet,
If the sun should set in grey,
The next will be a rainy day.

Here's to the jolly furze-cutter
Who does his work with ease
He goes to work when he minds to
And leaves off just when he please
