Originally from London, Barbara moved to the Westcountry on retirement and discovered a completely new and delightful life in North Cornwall. Her interest in Early Music developed into a fascination with the history of Cornish music, and with it the folk tales of her new home. Working with Mike O’Connor, she enjoyed telling and performing these tales, and many others, accompanying them with music. Her particular interest is in early instruments and the manuscripts that have been found in the Cornish archives. A bard of the Cornish Gorsedh, her ambition is to continue to explore the combination of story and music both from the past and towards the future in Cornwall.
