Rame resident, academic, tale teller
Bob Key’s family have lived on the Rame Peninsula in South East Cornwall for generations.
A former university lecturer and now Director of Film Studies for Cornish Story, he recorded the local folktales told by his family in his article ‘Genius Loci: Landscape, Legend and Locality; the role of folklore in the farming and fishing communities of the Rame peninsula,1850-1950’ in Memory, Place and Identity ed. Garry Tregidga.
He has generously allowed us to share these stories in Mazed.
The image is from the Mazed animation of Bob’s tale Patten Peg.
